Hey there,

Generative AI is moving fast—from an exciting concept to an essential tool in corporate learning. But as L&D leaders, we need more than just theory. Where are the real-world success stories? Who’s already using Gen AI effectively, and how can we apply those lessons?

Enter Sean Bengry, a senior L&D leader who has successfully integrated Gen AI into his work—with remarkable results. In a recent episode of the L&D Podcast, Sean shares his first-hand experiences, practical strategies, and four concrete examples of how AI can enhance human understanding and redefine L&D’s impact.

Here’s a sneak peek of two key use cases:

1. Creating individualized learning paths: AI can personalize content based on real learner needs, improving engagement and outcomes.

“The more data you can put in there around who a person is…the more AI can personalize that learning information. Shifting specific content—or ways to present content—based on what it knows about the person and where it knows that person needs to go,” explains Sean.

2. Spotlighting new voices: AI helps uncover and amplify diverse perspectives, ensuring broader representation in learning content.

“Empowering in-house subject-matter experts is (and should always be) a core goal for L&Ds. Gen AI makes this far more efficient by removing much of the hard legwork they’d otherwise have to do,” says Sean.

These are just two examples—but there’s more. In the full conversation, Sean explores:

How AI helps close specific skills gaps
How AI serves as a content curator to streamline learning
