Hey folks,

Yesterday I had the honor of packing and shipping our very last Base Model. I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the shoe that truly built Atreyu in its early years.

It came in a bag.
It was originally offered via subscription.
It was challenging to market.
It wasn’t as durable as the competition.
It was misunderstood by many.
And loved by many more.

...It was special for those who were willing to invest their precious weekly miles in it.

Overall, I believe it helped runners reconnect with the ground in a meaningful way through intentional design. Personally, it allowed me to fall more in love with running in a "think less about the shoe and think more about you" way. It influenced every design and business decision that followed its release. Many folks agree that it embodied our brand ethos.

To everyone who loved this shoe and shared its benefits with their running communities, I just wanted to say thank you. Your support made everything else possible.

And for those with some fresh midsoles still intact, I wish you the most beautiful miles. Put the hurt on ’em, and enjoy the ride.

Version 1:

After its release in 2020, Version 1's Voyager colorway looked like something that may have been designed for Buzz Lightyear, but it was so rad! The medial side graphics featured not one, but TWO catch phrases and a graphic of the Voyager satellite (a NASA mission which the colorway was named after). The Voyager's bold primary colors became the foundational hue of our visual identity.

Version 2:

Version 2 featured new foam, reinforced upper underlays, and an eTPU sockliner to replace the standard EVA liner of V1.

Version 3:

Version 3 featured a newly designed upper for added longevity, and included an light heel counter.

Thank you for your support of the Base Model from 2020-2025!
