Hi friend,

When I was living in Bali, working on Axiology, Jane Goodall once came into our coworking space (we were near Monkey Forest, so that's probably why). I was too nervous to say hello, but I’ll never forget seeing her from afar.

As someone who has loved and advocated for animals all my life, I’ve always resonated with Jane’s core belief that “having respect for animals makes us better humans”.

For me, building a vegan cosmetics brand committed to sustainability and ethics has been my daily expression of that same respect. I started Axiology after discovering that animal testing still exists in the beauty industry (seriously I still can't believe this is a thing). After this discovery, I committed to creating vegan, palm-oil-free, and cruelty-free makeup. For me and my company, this is our way of saying no to practices that harm or exploit sentient beings.

May Jane Goodall's legacy guide us to live more gently on this planet, to speak for those who cannot speak, and to build a world where animals and people alike are respected, loved and protected. ❤️

XOXO,
Ericka Rodriguez
