Hi there,

I’m checking back in to ensure you’re aware of the new Cal/OSHA regulations for employers surrounding COVID. The new regulations state that all employers conducting business in CA must abide by these guidelines for at least the next two years, and store records for the next three years. This means that even if your organization isn’t based in California, you’re liable for any employees that work in the state.

The new regulations are much more stringent than we originally anticipated. For example, does your current process allow you to receive a timestamped photo of a test and store it in a HIPAA-compliant platform? If not, your organization is in violation of these new Cal/OSHA regulations and susceptible to financial penalties in excess of $150,000 per incident.

I recommend downloading our Cal/OSHA Fact Sheet to understand the details, as this is just one of the many nuances that will require a specialized system like CLEARED4.
