MOBILE

The Android team fixed several crashes, ANR’s, and some bugs relating to CoinJoin. Work continued on a top-up feature and work began on implementing the invitations feature.

A public beta of the CoinJoin feature on iOS was released and later in the month it was published to the app store. The full rollout of v8.3 for iOS will likely be complete by the time you read this. Work on DashPay continued with the focus moving away from the bindings and onto the syncing of identities and other primary DashPay features such as contact requests, username requests, etc.

As always, if you are a Dash-accepting merchant, anywhere in the world, please submit the details of your location here and we will have you added to the Explore Dash inventory. Any merchant who gets two customers to tweet about a Dash purchase at your location will get a shout-out in a Dash Wallet message and on our social media. Just email our support team with the details of your post.

CORE TEAM UPDATES

Last month we celebrated the successful activation of the Dash Core v22.0 hard fork! We also created a Dash Core v22.1 release candidate for testing and release preparation while continuing to work on Dash Core v23.0. Dash Core v22.1 will enable encrypted P2P connections by default and includes a fix for the Mac binary notarization issue that complicated the installation process for v22.0.

On the documentation front, the team contributed to two DIPs related to upcoming features. The Platform Proof-of-Service DIP is expected to be published soon, and the masternode extended address support DIP is nearing the review stage. Meanwhile, development continued on the single node quorum feature for Platform developers, with two competing options being evaluated on technical merits before finalizing the solution.

We merged over 40 pull requests in January, including bug fixes, optimizations, and general code improvements. Bitcoin backports continued with completion at 94% for v22.0, 69% for v23.0, 43% for v24.0, 26% for v25.0, 24% for v26.0, and 24% for v27.0.

MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

We have successfully procured two legal opinion letters for Dash: one regarding the ability for Dash to legally advertise on the X platform, and another on Dash's legality as a whole. This second letter covers the US, EU, and many other jurisdictions, and goes in-depth on Dash's legal standing, including coverage of its privacy function as well as its potential standing as a security. We hope to be able to use this letter to secure listings, as well as re-listings, in a series of exchanges, particularly in Europe.

Dash was integrated into the crypto super app Zypto, a noncustodial app which offers a complete crypto usage experience including gift cards, prepaid cards, bill pay, integrated hardware wallet support, and much more.

As a result of our previous joint marketing activities, blockchain social media platform INLEO has reported that over 7,000 Dash users have been onboarded to the platform since December.

Dash was recently listed on the DApp page for Uquid, a global crypto shopping site.

We have commissioned a series of 9 (so far) animated videos, of which two have been published (promoting the INLEO integration and the DashPay wallet), as well as many short clips of these videos, published on X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more.

We conducted an X space celebrating Dash's 11th anniversary with numerous ecosystem partners.

Finally, we appeared on a number of Xcohost spaces on X.
