MOBILE

Testing and most code changes on DashPay for Android were completed and the testnet version was released to the community. A mainnet version was also released as a closed beta just for MNO’s to verify and provide feedback on the username voting features. We fixed some bugs that were identified from the Testnet users and we made some improvements to the voting screens based on feedback from the MNO’s. DashPay for Android will be released as an open beta on Mainnet in early November and then will be published on the Play Store with the remaining MVP features.

Work continued on CoinJoin for Dash Wallet on iOS; several new mixing bugs and UI improvements were completed. A few remaining issues continued to block the release of the beta version on Mainnet; balance mixing is expected to be released in early November.

As always, if you are a Dash-accepting merchant, anywhere in the world, please submit the details of your location here and we will have you added to the Explore Dash inventory. Any merchant who gets two customers to tweet about a Dash purchase at your location will get a shout-out in a Dash Wallet message and on our social media. Just email our support team with the details of your post.

The web3 development shop, Tatum, has expressed interest in integrating Dash into their ecosystem after they make some changes to prepare. We introduced Dash to Tatum at Consensus and we both felt that adding Dash to their cross chain development platform would provide unique benefits to their users. An updated home page on dash.org was released, this is the first of many upcoming improvements to the website that are being worked on.

CORE TEAM UPDATES

Core team efforts this month focused on getting Dash Core v22.0 ready for testing. All major functionality has now been merged, and we are entering a feature freeze. Version 22.0 includes network efficiency and privacy gains, along with improved Dash Platform withdrawal processing by using more quorums and increasing the daily withdrawal limit. We’re also excited to have finally completed the integration of BIP324 encrypted peer-to-peer protocol support.

On the maintenance front, we released Dash Core v21.1.1 to address an issue with parsing asset unlock transactions. Additionally, we merged over 70 pull requests in October, including bug fixes, optimizations, and general code improvements. Bitcoin backports continued with completion at 93% for v22.0, 62% for v23.0, 35% for v24.0, 23% for v25.0, and 21% for v26.0.

We also contacted the advertising department of X (formerly Twitter) to discuss advertising opportunities for Dash on the platform. We are in the process of exploring legal opinions on our advertising options on X, and we are engaging with a lawyer on this, as well as on crafting a letter for European service providers (such as exchanges) to explain how Dash can legally be supported in the region.

We hosted a space on X with the Maya Protocol and Edge Wallet to cover Edge's integration of Maya (both of which support Dash):
