Tender rejections model the Space Needle

SONAR Key Market Insights: Seattle, Washington

Highlights

Outbound tender rejection rates in Seattle are returning to normal after the holiday spike. The OTRI while following a yo-yo pattern has risen to 5.59%.

Capacity is generally loose in Seattle compared to the rest of the country, but it is starting to experience some tightening as rejections rise faster than outbound tender volumes.

Shippers and brokers can continue to expect strong carrier compliance for Seattle, while spot rates will continue to be on par with contracted rates. Carriers can expect a relatively easy reload but not much margin if they end up in the home of the Space Needle.
