Dallas and the big chill

SONAR Key Market Insights: Dallas

Highlights

Dallas outbound tender rejection rates plunged 313 basis points in the past week from 10.35% on Jan. 13 to 7.22%.

During that same period, outbound tender volumes fell 15.9 points or 4.83% w/w from 329.03 points to 313.13 points.

Part of the sudden drop appears to be weather-related as truckload capacity shifts to Dallas due to a severe winter storm impacting parts of South Texas and the Gulf Coast, and extending through the Florida Panhandle and the eastern Carolinas.
