Hi ,

Over the last couple of weeks we've launched two new polish sets, the Growth Nail Polish & Remover Set and the Smoothing Nail Polish & Remover Set. There are two things worth explaining: what makes them different from a normal polish, and how they differ from each other.

Starting with the polish itself, it's water-based rather than the usual solvent mix, which is gentler on the nail and means there's almost no smell. This means no sharp fumes filling the room, you could paint your nails in bed next to someone and they'd barely notice.

Then there's how it comes off. A normal polish needs acetone, and acetone is where a lot of nail damage happens, stripping out the oils and hydration that keep nails flexible. Ours doesn't use it. Each set comes with a Remover Serum that dissolves the treatment polish while it hydrates the nail underneath, so the step that usually wears your nails down becomes one that looks after them.

One coat is all you need, with no base or top coat. And it still wears like a proper polish for around five days, so water-based doesn't mean it rinses off in the shower.

Where these new polish sets differ is in the job the polish does.

The Growth Nail Polish is the everyday one. If you don't have a particular concern like ridges or discolouration, and you just want long, strong, healthy-looking nails, this is the one we'd recommend. It strengthens the nail, adds a bit of give so it bends instead of snapping, and leaves a clean, natural finish.

The Smoothing Nail Polish is for texture. If you get ridges, dents or an uneven surface, it fills and softens the look of them from the first coat, in a soft, sheer nude.

These two polishes are just the start of the range, with a few more on the way for other nail concerns. For now, if you want a stronger everyday nail, start with the Growth Nail Polish. If texture is your concern, choose the Smoothing Nail Polish.
