Bonjour, .

Father’s Day means something different for everyone. For some, it’s a time to celebrate. For others, to reflect. And for many, just a quiet Sunday in June.

For me, it’s always been a quiet kind of gratitude, for the time I spent in a nursery called Le Long Fond, just outside Brussels, where my father worked with plants of every kind. Twice a month, I’d walk the rows of camellias and fig trees, my shoes damp from the soil, the air sweet with something always in bloom. I didn’t know it then, but I was learning to observe, to care, to be still.

It wasn’t the beginning of the brand, not yet. But it was a beginning. A slow one. Just rows of leaves, warm air, and a sense that there was always more to notice. That feeling stuck with me.

Years later, Maison Louis Marie would come to reflect many of those early values: care over speed, attention over noise. We’ve grown slowly and independently, without outside funding, because we’ve always believed in good ingredients, good design, and taking the long view.

So whether today is a day you’re spending with a father, a partner, a friend or simply a day you’re setting aside to rest, I hope there’s a little time in it for reflection.

Maybe you’re lighting a candle.

Maybe you’re wearing a scent that stays close.

Or gifting someone something thoughtful, from our Father’s Day Gift Guide.

If you’re still not sure, there’s always the option to let them choose with a gift card that lands right on time.

Thanks for letting us be part of your rituals, however small.
