Hi there,

The emails are slowing, the pile of boxes has pretty much dwindled, and we’re finally entering one of my favorite stretches of the year: the last days of December, when the pace eases up.

I’ve always loved this time because it reminds me that things don’t need to be complicated to be meaningful—especially in the kitchen. A few well-made tools, enough space to think, room to move without rushing. When things work the way they should, you stop noticing them and just enjoy being there.

In these quieter days, the kitchen becomes playful again. You experiment. You simplify. You rediscover why you liked cooking in the first place. It’s less about output and more about ease.

As we close out the year, I just want to say thank you for letting Material be a small part of that rhythm in your kitchen. It means more than you know.

Wishing you a restful, cozy end to 2025 and an inspired start to whatever comes next.

Warmly,
Eunice
