Hey there,

There’s something about this part of November that’s somewhat panic-inducing. Thanksgiving is just ahead and if you’re anything like me, you’re still planning the menu and haven’t purchased a single gift yet but it’s ok because this year, I’ve got a plan.

I’m getting it all in one place: Material. Yes, as a team member, I’m a bit biased but hear me out because I think it’s a perfect strategy. I can get gifts for friends and family, a few last-minute holiday hosting upgrades for me, plus a recipe or two, all in one place.

For me:
- The Forever Peeler - peeling potatoes, apples, and carrots just got a whole lot easier. I’m tossing my old, dull, plastic-handled peeler and recommend you do too.
- The MK Free Board - I’ve long been a devotee of the reBoard, but this year, I’m reducing plastic in the kitchen and grabbing a three-pack of these. I love that this is big enough to carve a roast on but still dishwasher-safe and free of persistent microplastics.
- The Salt Sphere - I’ve had my eye on this bestseller since we launched it. This year is the year I upgrade my salt cellar for this one. I mean…look at it!
For gifting:
- The Material Market Tote - 50% of the sales of The MK Market Tote benefit God’s Love We Deliver, this year’s Kinder Kitchens partner. It’s big enough for a farmer’s market haul and (my favorite part) snaps shut!
- The Host Set - This one pleases everyone, cook or not. Sculptural and functional, I’m gifting this to my mom, my best friend, and my boss.
- The Table Knives - My brother is a massive carnivore, but he’s letting his perfectly seared steaks down with serrated, dull steak knives that tear the meat, ruining their texture. These award-winners are a major upgrade, plus they’re a whole lot prettier than your standard steakhouse knife set.
For Cooking: I’m hitting up the Material blog for recipes. We’ve got mac and cheese! We’ve got cranberry brie bites! We’ve got apple cider cocktails!

And the most important part of my order? A donation to God’s Love We Deliver! The above picks and more are in my guide to the Kinder Kitchens sale.

Happy hosting, feasting, and resting!
