Ready to explore their mini world

A baby smiles and reaches up to grab a yellow flower that their parent is offering them.

This month, take time to stop and smell the roses—literally. If you spend time outside, let your little one pause and observe, even touching the grass and flowers along the way. When inside, let their own reflection enchant them. Basically, they’re in love with the little things in life, as everything is simply fascinating to them.

Stepping out of the comfort zone

Your little one might start wanting to do a few things on their own—but don’t worry, they’ll always need you ❤️ Here are a few ways to encourage this inkling of independence.

Wait before helping

& let them try
to solve a
challenge on
their own

Let them
be social

but remember
to offer support
when meeting
new people

Keep
talking

to them—or
you can even
read or sing
using gestures
& play

✨ Monthly Fun Fact ✨

Your baby’s hand-eye coordination is continuously improving. This is just as exciting a time for you as it is for them. Watch for new movements, like pointing, putting things into containers or using the pincer grasp.
