Take 5 Minutes
for sleeping with blankets

A baby sleeps soundly on their back. The image sits within a cloud shape and atop a moon and more clouds, all against a dark blue sky with stars. To the left is a phone outline with a sleeping baby holding a clock atop puffy white clouds and the text, “Better sleep is on the way.”

Dear ,

Is it time for your little one to adorably snuggle with a blanket or stuffed animals while sleeping? Yep—now that they’re 12 months, let the sleepy toy cuddles begin 🐻

Here are the key takeaways:
1. Before 1 year, sleeping with blankets can increase the risk of SIDS
2. Still, keep an eye on room temperature, and don’t use a blanket if it’s too warm
3. You can also now introduce quilts, bumper pads, and pillows
