NetQIR: An Extension of QIR for Distributed Quantum Computing

The rapid advance of quantum computing has highlighted the need for scalable and efficient software infrastructures to fully exploit its potential. While current quantum processors have significant scalability problems due to the limited number of qubits on each chip, distributed quantum computing offers a promising solution by networking multiple Quantum Processing Units (QPUs). To support this paradigm, robust Intermediate Representations (IRs) are crucial for translating...

A Quantum Vault Scheme for Digital Currency

A digital currency is money in a digital form. In this model, maintaining integrity of the supply is a core concern, therefore protections against double-spending are often at the heart of a secure digital money scheme. Quantum money exploits the quantum mechanical principle of no-cloning to enable a currency that is immune to double spending. One of the challenges of the scheme is that users require technology that is currently out of reach. Here, we propose a model for quantum...

Double-bracket quantum algorithms for high-fidelity ground state preparation

Ground state preparation is a key area where quantum computers are expected to prove advantageous. Double-bracket quantum algorithms (DBQAs) have been recently proposed to diagonalize Hamiltonians and in this work we show how to use them to prepare ground states. We propose to improve an initial state preparation by adding a few steps of DBQAs. The interfaced method systematically achieves a better fidelity while significantly reducing the computational cost of the procedure. For...
