Hi there!

I wanted to share with you my skin story, which is the origin story of L'AMARUE as a whole, too!

About 85% of us experience breakouts/acne at some point in our lives, according to Yale School of Medicine. But the problem is, it has so many triggers that it's incredibly hard to pin down and fix.

For me, acne showed up in 2018 and it ruined my confidence. All the skincare dried out my skin like crazy and only made it worse. Diets were a challenge to stick to (and who knows if they're really working).

And I definitely wasn't willing to go on Accutane (Fun fact: Nobody even knows why Accutane seems to "work," despite it having been around since the 70's. Scientists only know that it dries out your body so much that acne stops – seriously).

So my mom took it into her own hands, and over the next 18 months she developed a whole new approach to not just acne, but all of skincare. She thought: "Why not just control what controls your skin, instead of slathering stuff on top?". She put her degrees to use and decoded over 2,500 studies, made 100's of formulas, and practically lived in a hairnet.

The result was our Heart to Heart Complex® – the patent-pending bioactive that works on the level of skin cell communication, which is what gives your skin the instructions it acts from – finally, a root cause skin solution.

And what could it do? It's now been shown to:

Be up to 3x more effective than benzoyl peroxide against P. acnes bacteria and biofilm*
Outperform other antibiotics like ciprofloxacin, gentamycin, and tobramycin*
Prevent bacteria colonization in/on the skin, which also boosts healing times*
Boost collagen production up to 400%*
Be about 260% better than retinol for cell turnover*
Relieve atopic dermatitis and psoriasis symptoms in 3 days*
Speed up healing times up to 4x compared to untreated skin*
Calm all levels of inflammation, even the most severe*

When I started using it, my skin changed like so:

Now, more than 50,000 of you are using our Heart to Heart Complex®-powered formulas, and your lives have changed, too :) (Really, your guys' reviews often make us cry).

The moral of this story? This stuff works, and you're not alone if you don't feel great in your own skin – we've quite literally been there, and now there is a brand that has your back.

Lots and lots of love,
Ande
