5-Bullet Friday

The latest from author and investor Tim Ferriss

Hi All!

Here is your weekly dose of 5-Bullet Friday, a list of what I’m pondering and exploring. Feel free to forward along if the spirit moves you.

This edition is brought to you by Momentous. Be sure to see their offer in the P.S.

What I’m listening to while working

Best of Shingo Nakamura 02 (2-Hour Melodic Progressive House Mix). Shingo, where have you been my whole life?

Helsinki spa that made my pores sing like angels

Löyly. One of Time magazine’s “World’s Greatest Places to Visit, 2018,” this is one of the most amazing sauna houses I’ve ever seen. My first visit to Finland had to include a good sweat. Try the smoke sauna followed by a dip in the Baltic Sea to cool off.

Science I’m tracking

“Personalized transcranial alternating current stimulation improves sleep quality: Initial findings.”

What I’m excited to share

An AI trained on my blog and podcast! I’m sharing this AI tool with 5-Bullet Friday subscribers first. Want to ask about productivity advice, sleep tips, or anything else explored on the blog and podcast? Just ask the AI here. I’d love to hear your feedback, as it’s an early beta, so please share your thoughts on Twitter by tagging me (@tferriss) and using #timai as a hashtag. Special thanks to Matt Mullenweg and the entire team at WordPress.com for building this!

Quote I’m pondering once again

“Language can become a screen which stands between the thinker and reality. This is the reason why true creativity often starts where language ends.”
— Arthur Koestler

You can complement this edition of 5-Bullet Friday with my interview with National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Director Dr. Nora Volkow, my conversation with former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and this clip on Neil Gaiman’s #1 rule for writing.

And, as always, please give me feedback on Twitter. Which bullet above is your favorite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions? Please let me know. Just send a tweet to @tferriss and put #5BulletFriday at the end so I can find it.

Have a wonderful weekend, all.

Much love to you and yours,

Tim

P.S. Deal of the Week — Momentous high-quality supplements!

Momentous offers high-quality supplements and products across a broad spectrum of categories, and I’ve been testing their products for months now. I’ve been using their magnesium threonate, apigenin, and L-theanine daily, all of which have helped me improve the onset, quality, and duration of my sleep. The Momentous Foundational Sleep Bundle conveniently includes all three products. I’ve also been using Momentous creatine, and while it certainly helps physical performance, including poundage or wattage in sports, I use it primarily for mental performance (short-term memory, etc.).

Their products are third-party tested (Informed Sport and/or NSF-certified), so you can trust that what is on the label is in the bottle and nothing else. Try Momentous for yourself and get 20% off with code Tim at LiveMomentous.com/Tim. And not to worry, my non-US friends, Momentous ships internationally and has you covered.
